What`s new in DiaScribe 1.7 Service Pack?

- User Messages – instead of simply disabling the “Start Inscription” button, the user is now prompted with a specific message explaining why he cannot start inscribing and what corrective action he should take (e.g., “You need to map your stone before you can start inscribing on it. Press Start Mapping to map your stone.”);
- Support for Small Stones – DiaScribe can now be used with Sarin’s lens and stage #4, catering for small stones;
- Mouse Cursor – now shows the hourglass icon during time consuming operations, to avoid wondering if the system is working or not;
- Advanced Options – the text “Clockwise/Counter-Clockwise” has been changed to “Right/Left” for clarity;
- Support Files – have been added to the …\DiaScribe\Support folder for easier handling of critical problems. These files should be sent to a support representative upon request.
Resolved Issues
- Automatic centering of the inscription in the Inscription Viewer has been improved. An Inscription Viewer calibration procedure has been written for technicians to follow;
- The inscription progress bar advances more realistically according to the actual progress of the text and logo inscription;
- The live video image during inscription is refreshed more often, resulting in a smoother and more realistic display;
- Problems with importing *.bmp, *.jpg, *.gif, and *.ico files in black & white or full color have been resolved;
- Position shifts and noise problems resulting from conflicts between DiaScribe and DiaExpert/Advisor software running on a Sarin machine with 16K motors have been resolved;
- Improvements have been made to ensure that what the user sees on different parts of the screen and what is actually inscribed are identical;
- Video brightness and contrast values are properly saved when closing and re-opening the application.
