Sarin Launches Galaxy™ 1000 XL Service
||Broadens Galaxy™ 1000 inclusion mapping services to stones of up to 180 carats
Will significantly contribute to Sarin’s recurring revenue from service centres
Having been in testing since the summer of 2011, as previously announced, the Galaxy™ 1000 XL has now completed its qualification process. The first system has been installed in the Group’s service centre in Israel, with the second unit already shipped to Surat, India. They will join the multiple Galaxy™ 1000 regular systems and the Galaxy™ 1000 HD (High Definition – up to VVS resolution) systems already in operation there. Pricing of the XL service will be dependent on the actual weight of the rough stone being processed and will be commensurate with the substantial added value provided by the system. We expect the Galaxy™ 1000 XL to summarily contribute significantly to the Group’s recurring revenue stream from the service centres.
Uzi Levami, Chief Executive Officer of Sarin commented, “The Galaxy™ 1000 XL provides a unique service to manufacturers by which to scan and map internal inclusions in all but the largest rough diamonds. This, in conjunction with the application of our Advisor™ planning software will enable these unique, rare and expensive gems to be truly optimised for best value, based on Carat, Cut and Clarity. Automatic linkage to the Strategist™ and Quaser™ II green laser cutting system will further allow for optimal sawing and cutting, taking into account the Galaxy™ mapped inclusions, so as to protect these valuable stones to the utmost and their owners’ significant investment in them. We are proud to launch the Galaxy™ 1000 XL service concurrently in Israel and India, as this will expose it to the broadest possible scope of leading manufacturers in the industry. We expect this service will be of significant importance to the manufacturing industry, and plan to make it available in additional polishing centers later this year.”
